πŸ›‘οΈ Anti-Bullying Awareness at Kuzhugchen MSS πŸ›‘οΈ

As part of our continued commitment to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment, Kuzhugchen Middle Secondary School conducted an Anti-Bullying Awareness session for students from Classes 4–10.

The session served as an important reminder on what bullying is, its different forms, the impact it can have on others, and most importantly, how each student can play a role in preventing it by becoming an upstander rather than a bystander.

While anti-bullying education is something we continuously reinforce throughout the school year through classroom guidance, counselling services, peer helper initiatives, and the Superhero Project, this session provided an opportunity to revisit these important messages and encourage students to reflect on their own actions and responsibilities.

To further strengthen awareness, anti-bullying posters have also been displayed throughout the school campus as visual reminders that kindness, respect, and inclusion are values we uphold every day.

At Kuzhugchen MSS, we believe that everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and respected.

❀️ Be Kind
🀝 Be Respectful
πŸ›‘οΈ Be an Upstander

Everyone Belongs Here.

🌱 Helping Adolescents Thrive (HAT) Caregiver Support Workshop 🌱

Today, Kuzhugchen Middle Secondary School successfully conducted the Helping Adolescents Thrive (HAT) Caregiver Support Workshop, a joint initiative of the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) and UNICEF.

Adolescence is a critical stage of life filled with rapid physical, emotional, and social changes. During this period, the support, understanding, and guidance provided by parents and caregivers can have a lasting impact on a young person’s well-being, confidence, and future success.

Through this workshop, parents and guardians explored:
✨ Understanding adolescent development and behaviour
✨ Building stronger relationships with adolescents
✨ Positive communication and conflict management
✨ Supporting adolescent mental health and well-being
✨ Recognizing warning signs and seeking help when needed
✨ The importance of caregiver self-care and resilience

The workshop provided a valuable opportunity for parents and caregivers to reflect on their role in nurturing healthy, confident, and resilient adolescents. It also reinforced the importance of strong partnerships between families and schools in supporting the holistic development of our children.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all parents and guardians who took the time to attend and actively participate. Your commitment to learning and growing alongside your children is one of the greatest gifts you can give them.

Together, we can create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where every adolescent can thrive. πŸ’™

Parent-Teacher Meeting 2026
The Parent-Teacher Meeting for students of Classes IV to X was held successfully on 9th April.
This year, the meeting was conducted in small groups within individual classrooms instead of as a large gathering in the MPH. This change was made to ensure maximum parent participation, encourage meaningful two-way communication, and help every parent's voice be heard.
Parents reported directly to their child's classroom. Tea and snacks were arranged collectively by the school and the parents.
During the meeting, parents were briefed on the school discipline policy, counselling services, parental support for their children, the school's Student Welfare Scheme, and the importance of creating a conducive learning environment. Class teachers also shared the initiatives taken by parents in maintaining their classrooms and sought further help from parents to enhance the classroom environment.
Many parents came forward and offered their support to help maintain their child's classroom. Parents also discussed and offered suggestions on some school policies, keeping in mind the benefit of the school and the students.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the parents for their unwavering support of the school and their continued commitment to their children's growth and well-being.
