DLA Participates in Regional ECoWYERT Project Meeting.

We are pleased to be participating in the online engagement for the Enhancing the Capacities of Women and Youth-led Enterprises for Regional Trade (ECoWYERT) project.

Botswana is among six countries taking part in this transformative regional initiative, implemented by United Nations Development Programme in partnership with International Trade Centre, COMESA Federation of Women in Business, Trade and Development Fund, and Better Than Cash Alliance.

The five-year project is being implemented across Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, with the goal of increasing the participation of women and youth-led MSMEs in regional value chains under the African Continental Free Trade Area.

Through strengthened enterprise capabilities, improved access to finance, and the development of a more responsive entrepreneurial ecosystem, the ECoWYERT project is creating opportunities for women and young entrepreneurs to thrive in regional trade and contribute meaningfully to economic growth and sustainable development.
