Maru-a-Pula School

This afternoon, Maru-a-Pula hosted the ISSSA Rugby League fixtures on campus.

Our team delivered an impressive performance, securing a 36–0 victory over Regent School. The result reflects the team's hard work, discipline and commitment on the field.

Congratulations to our players and coaching staff on an excellent performance. We look forward to the next round of fixtures.

At Maru-a-Pula, we proudly honour the legacy of all the students who fought for equal access to education, ultimately inspiring other young people on the continent. As we celebrated the Day of the African Child, students reflected on the journey from apartheid-era South Africa to the nation we know today, one where educational opportunities are more equitable and where young people are free to express themselves and pursue their aspirations.

On Wednesday evening, MaP Talks brought together students, alumni and members of the wider community for an engaging discussion centred on the theme Service Without Reward.

The conversation explored the importance of serving with purpose, humility and commitment, even when recognition is not guaranteed. Through thoughtful insights and personal experiences, attendees reflected on the many ways service can positively influence individuals, organisations and communities.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening both meaningful and inspiring.
