This past Saturday our learners proudly participated in the Curro Online Chess Tournament, competing against players from Curro schools across the country.

With over 140 players per age group, the competition was intense, challenging, and exciting! Learners competed in the U8, U10, U12, and U14 categories, showcasing strategic thinking, concentration, and resilience.

We are proud of every learner who represented our school and embraced the spirit of healthy competition. Well done, chess champions! 👏🏽🏆

🏐⚽ Curro Baobab Under 11 Teams Shine at ISAB NETBALL AND FOOTBALL FESTIVALS in Jwaneng!⚽🏐

Our Under 11 Netball and Football teams proudly represented Curro Baobab at the recent ISAB festival hosted by Acacia in Jwaneng. The festival aims at giving players an opportunity to compete with other schools. It is a fun tournament with no awards up For grabs.

🏐 Netball Team
Our netball girls delivered an outstanding performance, playing five matches and securing an impressive 5 wins! Their teamwork, determination, and skill on the court were truly commendable.

⚽ Football Team
Our football boys also represented the school with pride, playing six matches and recording **2 wins, 3 draws, and 1 loss**. Their resilience, discipline, and teamwork were evident throughout the tournament.

Both teams demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, respect, and commitment, embodying the values of Curro Baobab both on and off the field.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the coaches, staff, parents, and supporters whose encouragement and dedication contribute to the success and growth of our young athletes.

Learning comes alive when the classroom extends into the real world!

Our Year 3E2 and 3E4 learners recently embarked on an unforgettable milestone trip to Mokolodi Nature Reserve, where they explored Botswana’s incredible wildlife and gained hands-on experience in environmental conservation.

From exciting game drives spotting zebras, giraffes, impalas, and baboons, to visiting the reptile park and learning about snakes up close, every moment was filled with discovery and adventure. Learners also participated in nature walks and environmental education sessions, deepening their understanding of ecosystems, biodiversity, and the importance of protecting our natural heritage.

One of the highlights of the trip was gathering around a bonfire on the final evening, sharing stories, laughter, and special memories with friends and teachers.

Experiences like these reinforce classroom learning, build confidence, encourage teamwork, and inspire a lifelong appreciation for nature.

Water is Life!

Our Year 2E3 learners delivered an engaging assembly on the importance of water and why it is essential for all living things. They shared fascinating facts, including that water makes up about 60% of the human body and plays a vital role in keeping us healthy.

The learners also highlighted the importance of staying hydrated, especially after exercise, and explored the many benefits of swimming, including improved fitness, heart and lung health, and overall wellbeing.

With informative presentations and colorful images displayed on the projector, the assembly reminded us all that water truly is life!
