Theme: Ensuring Universal Access to Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene for Every Child in Africa – Clean Water, Healthy Lives

Maun, Botswana — June 16, 2026:
Delta Waters International School proudly joined schools across Africa in commemorating the Day of the African Child, a day dedicated to promoting children’s rights and well-being. This year’s theme, “Ensuring Universal Access to Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene for Every Child in Africa,” highlights the importance of clean water and healthy living environments for every learner.

The school presents a special poster display emphasizing the message “Clean Water, Healthy Lives.” Learners reflected on the significance of equitable access to sanitation and hygiene facilities, connecting the theme to their daily experiences and community initiatives.

What an amazing day it has been!

The crowds have thoroughly enjoyed sampling a wide variety of foods from the different country stalls represented at our Culture Day celebration. The response has been overwhelming, with some countries completely running out of food and having to prepare a second round to meet the demand!

Our learners, parents, staff, and guests have embraced the opportunity to experience different cultures through food, music, dance, and cultural displays. The atmosphere has been vibrant, educational, and full of excitement.

Culture Day continues to highlight the beauty of diversity and the spirit of unity within our school community.

Kangaroo Maths Contest in pics

CONGRATULATIONS TO TEAM DELTA WATERS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL MATHEMATICS CLUB!
Delta Waters International School proudly participated in the prestigious Mathematics Kangaroo Contest 2026, an international mathematics competition that brings together brilliant young minds from across the world.
A total of 15 learners from the Primary School and 20 learners from the Secondary School represented the school in this global event, and we are proud to announce that all participants performed exceptionally well and received certificates for their participation and achievement.
PRIMARY SCHOOL ACHIEVEMENTS
Out of the 15 Primary School learners:
🥈 3 learners attained Silver Medals
🥉 2 learners attained Bronze Medals
A special mention goes to Refilwe Moyo, who received a Silver Medal and was the only Standard 4 learner among the medal recipients, alongside 4 learners from Standard 7. An outstanding achievement indeed!
SECONDARY SCHOOL ACHIEVEMENTS
Out of the 20 Secondary School learners:

Today, 24 April 2026, our Standard 6 learners from Delta Waters International School had an enriching educational excursion to the Maun High Court.

The visit provided learners with a valuable opportunity to experience the judiciary system of Botswana firsthand, deepening their understanding of court procedures, the rule of law, and the importance of justice in our society.

It was an insightful and memorable learning experience that brought classroom concepts to life!

Delta Waters is proud of the achievement by Jwame Mojuta (Std 5 Blue). Well done on this excellent accomplishment!

The only Form 1 learner among our participants, Rapela stood tall and proudly earned her certificate in the 2026 Rising Stars Mathematics Olympiad Competition. As a young girl excelling in Mathematics, she is truly an inspiration to many! 💡📚
