Celebrating Innovation: BCET at the BDIH Graduation Ceremony!

On Wednesday, May 6th, members of our BCET TISC team—including 2 staff members and 3 students—had the privilege of attending the BDIH Acceleration Program Graduation Ceremony.

It was an inspiring day celebrating the success of 17 incredible startup companies as they officially completed this cohort’s journey toward growth, investment readiness, and commercialization.

Today, 48 staff members from Botswana College of Engineering and Technology (BCET) are participating in an insightful Pre-Retirement Counselling Seminar, hosted by NMG Administrators Botswana.

Planning for retirement is about more than just the destination—it’s about the journey we take to get there. Throughout this intensive 1-day session, we are diving deep into:

1. Financial Foundations: Reflecting on past money stories and refining present money habits.

2. Building Security: Mastering budgeting, establishing emergency funds, and managing debt.

3. Long-term Readiness: Developing comprehensive retirement plans and setting future goals.

4. Legacy & Peace of Mind: Understanding the importance of a life will and overall retirement readiness.

Knowledge is the best investment we can make for our transition into the next chapter of life. A huge thank you to the NMG team for sharing their expertise with us today!

Virtual Reality Demo Day at UniPod Botswana wraped up yesterday!

Participants from Botswana College of Engineering and Technology explored immersive VR apps, gaining valuable exposure to emerging tech. We celebrate their curiosity and enthusiasm, and look forward to seeing them innovate and lead in the future!

Participating students were: Karabo Makgale, Lorato Mmolai, Bofelo Kelebogile, Gosego Billy Mmidinyana, Lefika Mosala, Katlego Dikago, Kutlo Wateka, Kenneth Botshelo Sekopetswe, Tebo Rodney Lesotho, and
Tlamelo Babili.

The students were accompanied by a lecturer Mr Kago Ramaselwana from BCET Technology and Innovation Support Centre.
