Tsa Lapeng Music Initiative (TLMi) was born on July 2002. This was just the presence of the colonial masters.
It seeks to redress past colonial imbalances where children from African communities were denied the benefits of music education and opportunities to showcase their artistic expression. After its establishment it secured a grant from the National Arts Council of South Africa until to date.Through its flagship projects- Tsa Lapeng Music Conservatoire, Tsa Lapeng Youth Jazz Orchestra and the annual
