Take Flight KinderCare

We started our Rock Unit and letter Ww today! We spent most of the afternoon in the backyard…the kids are really into insects lately!!

We finished up our Rhyming Unit and Letter Tt! We worked on a sound review of all 25 letters…one more to go! We had some outside time before the thunderstorm rolled in!

Oh and Caleb showed the kids his Pokémon card he had PSA graded…they thought that was pretty cool!

We had lots of outside time and free play today! We also worked on numbers and did a rhyme toss game!

Week two of our Rhyming Unit and we played pass a rhyme and finger rhymes today! We went to the playground after school pick up and played in the backyard this afternoon!!

A Goat on a Boat can Float! We had so much fun creating boats and testing them out!

The kids created a new game catching flying discs at the playground…they had an audience cheering them on!

It was so nice to be back outside that we went to two different playgrounds! We worked on number rhyming and did some rhyme graphing!

We started our Rhyming Unit and Letter Tt this week! We had “Gramma Cheryl” and Sophie join us this afternoon…Cheryl even did carpet time lol!! Looking forward to sunnier days ahead! ☀️

Unit 18 (week 1 & 2) - Rhyming Words: Rhyming is an important pre-reading skill called phonological awareness. The focus of these skills is on the ability to hear sounds and rhymes in a word. Unit 20 (week 4) - Kindergarten Graduation: The FINAL unit of Take Flight KinderCare! These children have certainly taken flight over the course of this year and are ready to soar into Grade 1! I am beyond proud of each and every one of them as they grew leaps and bounds from September. I’ve absolutely loved watching the children grow and the friendships blossom! I’m so glad I could be a small part of their journey and I’m so excited for their next chapter…watch out Grade 1!!
