πββοΈπ What an incredible day!
A huge thank you to all of our students, staff, and parents who joined us for the very first DWA 5K Marathon last Saturday. The energy, enthusiasm, and community spirit on display made this event a tremendous success!
From our youngest runners to our dedicated volunteers and supportive families, every participant helped make this milestone event one to remember. We are so proud of everyone who challenged themselves, encouraged others, and crossed the finish line with determination and a smile.
Thank you for being part of this special day. We can't wait to make the DWA 5K Marathon an even bigger tradition in the years to come!

Our Grade 5 students had a fantastic time in cooking class making waffles! π§
From carefully measuring ingredients to mixing batter and creating their delicious final products, students put their teamwork and kitchen skills to the test. Hands-on experiences like these help build confidence, independence, and creativity while making learning fun.

Our students had a sweet time in cooking class baking delicious cookies! πͺ
From measuring ingredients to mixing, baking, and of course enjoying the final result, this hands-on experience gave students the chance to build practical kitchen skills while having plenty of fun along the way.
Activities like these encourage creativity, teamwork, and confidence as students learn through doing. Great work to our young bakers for their enthusiasm and impressive creations! π

Throughout the month, students stepped up during lunch recess to challenge themselves, demonstrate their skills, and embrace some friendly competition. These events are a great way for students to try something new, stay active, and build confidence while representing true Dragon spirit.

Our ECS to Grade 3 students had an incredible opportunity to attend the Jack Singer Concert Hall for a special Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra performance! πΆ
This memorable experience introduced students to the beauty of live orchestral music and gave them the chance to engage with the arts in an inspiring, real-world setting. From the powerful performances to the excitement of the concert hall, it was a wonderful day of learning and discovery.
Experiences like these help spark creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Well done to our young Dragons for representing Delta West so wonderfully! π

Our Grade 10β12 students recently attended the Holocaust Symposium, an important opportunity to deepen their understanding of history through reflection, learning, and meaningful discussion.
This powerful experience encouraged students to examine the impact of the Holocaust, honour the stories of those affected, and reflect on the importance of remembrance, empathy, and standing against injustice.
Experiences like these help foster critical thinking and global awareness as our students continue to grow as thoughtful, compassionate leaders.

Through fun activities, cultural learning, and lots of enthusiasm, students explored the traditions and significance of this vibrant celebration. It was a wonderful opportunity to build cultural understanding while bringing energy and excitement into the classroom.

Our ECS to Grade 5 students had a very special opportunity this week as they watched their caterpillars complete an incredible transformation into butterflies.
After observing each stage of the life cycle: caterpillar, chrysalis, and butterfly. Students gathered together to release them back into nature. The excitement, curiosity, and joy on the studentsβ faces made this a truly memorable hands-on learning experience.
Moments like these help bring science to life and encourage students to develop a deeper appreciation for nature and the world around them .
