Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there, especially to the father of my children, my loving husband and my partner in life! I don't post him often (because he's not musical) HOWEVER, my son Eli taught him how to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in just a few minutes! And they surprised me! This was my first time hearing it. I laughed so hard seeing a grown man use a child size violin! But he's already better than me on the violin (cuz I can't play a single note). 😂 Maybe he's musical afterall (what do you think, Mr ?

What a special day! This is the one year anniversary of purchasing my commercial unit, since getting the keys and walking in and saying that this place is MINE! What a year this has been. There was so much learning about construction and running a commercial business. I am still learning lots! Thank you to my Leading Tone staff for working so hard. Thank you to my Leading Tone Music families for your love and support!

Here is Ms Dora's Sunbeams 1 performing a group ensemble for the year-end recital. They are playing "Water Music" (Sarabande written by Handel) with one group playing with tambourines and the other playing with wooden tick tocks. This was their first year of music lessons. They are able to read and play pieces on the staff, play scales in C+, G+ and a-, harmonize a RH melody by adding bridges (2 notes in the LH). They have developed friendship while learning music. They come to class eager to learn every class. Thank you for a great year Sunbeams 1 class!

Sunbeams 1 is perfect for ages 5.5 to 7. The course is parented so parents can learn music at the same time!

Our year-end teachers'/staff appreciate dinner . We had such a great time! The food was good, the ambience was nice and the company was the best! Thanks for a great year! There were lots of changes so thank you for embracing them and just being the best staff you could be!

A lot of work goes into preparing for the big day of recitals. This is just a small glimpse into what goes into it. We need to create the boards for the MYC students to follow along when they are performing on the stage. We need to design certificates, print them off, sort into teachers, have the teachers sign, then sort them into recitals and the order of performance! Getting enough treats for every student, packing all the props, instruments, amps, signs, etc. And SO much more!Probably the biggest task of all is assigning students into recitals and then having families request another recital time because the time doesn't work for them, but then moving other students out to balance the recitals so it doesn't go crazy over time! 😅 - this can't be shown in the reel. 🤣
But everything we do leads to a super smooth day of recitals so it's all worth it! ❤️
