Hello Quest Community! It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the final month of the 2025/2026 school year. Here are some recent updates and highlights from around Quest:

1. The 2026 Servus Calgary Marathon was an incredible weekend of community, determination, and support. Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, fundraised, volunteered, and cheered on Team Quest.

We are especially grateful to our volunteers and proud of every Team Quest participant who helped raise awareness and support for children, youth, and young adults with developmental disabilities.

This year’s marathon set new records, with more than 20,000 participants and over $700,000 raised for charities.

2. We were thrilled to be the beneficiary of the PCL Charity Street Hockey Tournament, held just outside our Barlow Campus! Teams from across the community came together for a day of street hockey, food, and fun, all in support of Calgary Quest School students.

Thank you to PCL and everyone who participated, volunteered, and contributed to the event’s success. Funds raised will support our Sensory Gym, helping provide students with a dedicated space for sensory regulation, movement, exploration, and growth.

3. Last week, students at our Barlow Campus enjoyed a visit from the Calgary Public Library Book Truck. The mobile library brought a wide selection of books directly to our campus, allowing students to experience the excitement of browsing a library and discovering new books without leaving school.

4. Students enjoyed an exciting visit from the Reptile Guy, who introduced us to snakes, turtles, skinks, tarantulas, and geckos.

During the presentation, students learned about the animals’ habitats, diets, and unique characteristics while gaining a greater appreciation for these often misunderstood species. Many students also had the opportunity to get up close and even pet some of the reptiles, making for a memorable hands-on learning experience!
