Janus Academy

✉️🌍 Our high school students began a special Pen Pal Project this year with Gateway Academy in our sister city of Phoenix, Arizona!

Together, our purpose was to create a meaningful and enriching experience where students can build friendships, share their stories, and learn from one another across borders. Through letters and conversations, they’ll explore different cultures, discover shared experiences, and celebrate what makes each of them unique.

Most importantly, this project helps our students recognize that the autistic community extends far beyond our own city—that there is a global network of understanding, connection, and support. 💙🌎✍️

On Wednesday morning, we came together for our Training Wrap-Up event; a morning filled with reflection, connection, laughter, and a little competitive spirit 😊🔥
�We began with our “Ripple Reflection” activity, where staff reflected on the moments, growth, kindness, and impact that shaped this past year. It was a powerful reminder of how far the ripple effect of support, patience, and teamwork reaches within our school community 🌊✨
�The morning then shifted into our Staff Survivor challenges, where teams worked together through a series of fast-paced games that tested communication, creativity, memory, and teamwork 🎯🧠🤝

The room was filled with cheering, laughter, and encouragement as everyone embraced the challenges together 🎉👏
�While there was only one Survivor team at the end, the true highlight was seeing everyone come together. From meaningful reflection to shared laughter, the morning was a reminder that the strength of our work has always been rooted in the people around us 🌟
