This is a question our little learners never have to ask, since our programming centres around outdoor exploration year-round. These preschoolers at Currie have been learning about patterns through loose parts activities, so we brought the fun outside to explore with different, natural mediums! We love seeing their creativity shine when we extend learning into new environments.

Who's ready for camping season? 🌳🏕🌿🌞

These Bridgeland preschoolers loved our recent pretend camping activity, engaging their imaginations as we set up our campsite with a tent and "campfire". They bonded as they "cooked marshmallows" and other meals, and then we took advantage of the summery weather with a soccer game and sidewalk chalk drawing.

We might be biased, but we believe bubbles make everything better! 🫧🐬🐟

In honour of World Oceans Day, these Bridgeland kiddos were learning about all the animals that call the ocean their home. They discussed the different ocean environments, and the important role these watery worlds and their creatures play in our ecosystem. Our educators added bubbles to this sensory bin activity, engaging the children as they explored!

Our philosophy embraces a nature-based approach that allows children to explore the natural world and learn about the importance of sustainability. These kids at Bridgeland had a very special show-and-tell when one of their family members brought in pigeon chicks for the class to interact with! This experience taught them about the different animals that share our environment, and why we need to take care of it. This lesson continued throughout our outdoor play, as we enjoyed the warm weather and connected with nature.
