The Infinity Dome is getting a glow-up and yes, a T. Rex was involved 🦖.

We recently welcomed the Government of Canada and Member of Parliament Corey Hogan for a special announcement supporting upgrades to the Infinity Dome.

Through the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund, TELUS Spark received $879,065 to support specialized equipment purchases and upgrades, helping power even more immersive storytelling, science experiences and cultural programming for visitors, students and tourists!

We’re grateful to Canadian Heritage for its continued support of TELUS Spark, and were proud to mark the occasion with remarks from Corey Hogan, TELUS Spark CEO Guy Labine and Spark's Board Chair Sophia Langlois, followed by a special T. Rex show in the Infinity Dome 🎥.

This September, Spark staff T-shirts are getting a meaningful makeover, and YOUR art could lead the way. 🎨🦬

Spark is inviting local Indigenous artists to create an original design for our staff T-shirts in recognition of National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30. 🧡

We’re looking for artwork that carries meaning, sparks conversation, and reflects what Truth and Reconciliation means to you.

The selected artist will have their design featured on Spark staff T-shirts.

Here are the details:
🗓 Submit by July 15
📣 Winner announced August 15
🏆 $1,000 honorarium

Priority will be given to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit artists living in Calgary or the surrounding Treaty 7 area.

Artists of all ages are welcome. Youth and Elders are especially encouraged to submit.

Summer Solstice is here, and we’re taking a moment to recognize all that the sun gives ☀️.

Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day, a time to honour First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples, and celebrate the cultures, knowledge, and contributions they share across Turtle Island.

For many Indigenous communities, Summer Solstice is a time of connection, renewal, and gratitude. Around this time of year, the sun sits high in the sky, and the days are at their longest. That extra light reaches more of the Land, reducing shadows and giving plants more time to photosynthesize, grow, and sustain the connections that support life 🌿.

At TELUS Spark, we’re grateful to learn alongside Indigenous community members, Knowledge Keepers, and partners, while recognizing the ongoing care First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples have given to these Lands across generations.

Take a moment today to step outside, feel the sunshine, and reflect on the relationships that help us grow 🌱.

Not every Annual General Meeting comes with live science, but ours did. 🧪

This year, community leaders, educators, industry partners, and members of the Spark team came together to reflect on the impact we’ve made, get a first look at Spark’s new Strategic Plan, and explore what’s next through storytelling, demos, and hands-on moments.

The afternoon began with an Indigenous opening and prayer, grounding the day in science, land, and ways of knowing, before moving into big ideas and curious conversations.

Dino Summer at Spark is going BIGGER, LOUDER, and PREHISTORIC ☀️👀

From June 27 to September 1, we're bringing science to life with towering dinosaurs, fossil fun, hands-on learning, and plenty of ROAR-WORTHY moments.

SUE: The T. rex Experience was organized by the Field Museum and is part of the Griffin Dinosaur Experience, made possible by the generous support of the Kenneth C. Griffin Charitable Fund.

What an incredible day at the Calgary Stampede First Nations Rodeo & Relay at GMC Stadium 🐎

We were so honoured to be there, celebrating Indigenous athletes (both human and horse) from across Canada and the United States as they brought powerful athleticism, horsemanship, and tradition to the arena.
