The Calgary Academy of Chefs and Cooks meeting at North Trail High School was truly an unforgettable and enjoyable experience!

The food prepared by the students was absolutely phenomenalโ€”delicious, creative, and beautifully presented. A special thank you to the Culinary Arts teachers led by Chef Sabrina Del Ben and Chef Jessica, along with all the volunteer students. Their talent, passion, and professionalism were evident throughout the event, and I can definitely see a bright future ahead for these young culinary stars.

Everything was outstanding, but some of the crowd favorites were the Old Fashioned Mocktail, Kimchi Grilled Cheese, African Samosa, Tamale, Beef Dip, and, of course, all the desserts!

A heartfelt thank you as well to our guest speakers. Mr. Aman of TukTuk Soda shared the inspiring story behind his amazing soda creations. (Youโ€™ve gotta to try the Golden Mango flavour, and it's great to know that it is now available in leading supermarkets across Calgary!) Chef Rosalyn Ediger spoke about her unforgettable experience in the recently concluded Worldchefs Congress 2026 in Newport, Wales. Exciting newsโ€”Calgary may even have the opportunity to host the 2030 Worldchefs Congress!

Congratulations to our new members, Chef Leonard and Chef Harrison, on taking their oath, and to our newly elected Board of Directors. We also enjoyed hearing Chef Michael Noble and Chef Martin Makulowich share their memorable experiences of being inducted into the Canadian Culinary Honor Society at the National Convention.

And once again, congratulations to Chef Martin on this well-deserved achievement!

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success. Looking forward to seeing everyone again at the next meeting!
