And just like that, we've reached the last day of classes for the 2025-2026 season. π₯Ήπ
What a year it has been.
From the very first class in the fall to today, we have watched something remarkable happen in this studio.
Kids finding their voice.
Dancers pushing through the hard days.
Friendships forming in the way that only happens when you work hard toward something together.
Teachers pouring their hearts into every single class.
We are so grateful. For this community, for this work, for every family that walks through our doors and trusts us to do right by their kids.
Enjoy the summer, ITD family.
Rest, play, soak it all in.
We will be back, and we cannot wait to see what next season holds. π
See you in the fall π©°

This one is for every dancer who has been staring down a skill that feels completely out of reach right now.
The turn that won't stay on balance. The acro skill that keeps ending sideways. The combination that everyone else seems to have locked down while you're still counting beats out loud.
We see you.
And we need you to hear this:
Hard is not the same as impossible. Hard just means you're not there yet.
Every single skill you now do without thinking, there was a day it felt exactly like this.
Impossible.
Frustrating.
Like maybe you were the only one who couldn't get it.
And then one class, something shifted. Your body figured it out. And you never looked back.
Trust the process.
Trust your teachers.
Trust yourself.
The warm up version of this skill is coming. π

18 years ago, Miss Erin took the reins at Invitation To Dance. And every single thing you love about this studio, the warmth, the inclusivity, the commitment to excellence, the culture of kindness, traces back to her vision. Today we celebrate our incredible owner and artistic director, Miss Erin! π
Erin Feltham has been a dancer, teacher and studio owner in Calgary for over 25 years. A graduate of the University of Calgary Dance Program, she studied under some of the most respected faculty in the country and has since built a career and a community that reflects everything she learned and everything she believes in.
Her credentials are extraordinary: a BA in Contemporary Dance, an Associate Diploma in Modern Theatre with the ISTD, Acrobatic Arts Modules 1 and 2, level two Spectacle Blue aerial certification, PBT certified, and level two teacher training with Perfect Form Physiotherapy. She has studied contemporary dance, ballet, acrobatics, jazz, West African dance, and tap, and performed in Dance Montage, Alberta Dance Explosions, and Mainstage before dedicating herself fully to teaching and leading.
But what defines Miss Erin is the fact that for 18 years, she has shown up every single day to build a space that is fun, inclusive, and professional. A space where kids become confident. Where dancers become people of character. Where families feel like they belong.
That is Miss Erin's life's work. And we are all incredibly lucky to be part of it. π

Open House Week is in full swing and the energy in the studio with all our new faces has been absolutely wonderful! π
If you haven't brought your friend yet, there are still a few days left. Classes are running through Saturday June 13th (Tomorrow!), and every single one is open to a guest.
We love this week because it reminds us how many people are out there who would love dance if they just had the chance to try it. Sometimes all it takes is walking through the door with someone you know.
Know anyone still on the fence? Tell them it's not too late!

"Dance is the purest expression of every emotion, earthly and spiritual." β Anna Pavlova π€
Anna Pavlova was one of the most celebrated ballet dancers who ever lived. She performed across the world at a time when that was almost unheard of, and spent her life believing that dance belonged to everyone, not just the elite concert halls of Europe.
Joy that can't be contained in words. Grief that moves through the body before the mind knows how to hold it. Pride, frustration, freedom, belonging β all of it finding its way out through movement.
Dance doesn't ask you to have the right words. It just asks you to show up and move. And in return, it gives you somewhere to put everything.
That is the gift. That has always been the gift. π

This week is one of our absolute favourites of the entire year: Open House Week! π
June 8th through 13th, we are inviting all of our current dancers to bring a friend to class. Know someone who has been curious about dance? A classmate, a neighbour, a cousin who has been asking questions? This is the perfect low-pressure, high-fun way for them to try it out.
There is no better introduction to ITD than jumping into a class with someone you already trust. And there is no better time than right now, with summer just around the corner.
Spread the word! Tag a friend below who you think would love it π

We are still buzzing from the most incredible three nights and we don't think that feeling is going away anytime soon. π
Recital 2026 was something truly special. The performances, the energy in the theatre, the pride on every dancer's face as they walked off that stage. We are so honoured to have been part of creating that experience.
Watching the dancers perform is one of the greatest joys in our lives. You were all extraordinary.
Our teachers' dedication to these students shows in every single thing they do on stage.
And thank you for the flowers, the cheers, the tears, and the trust. These kids danced their hearts out and they deserved every single round of applause.
See you on the dance floor next season π

Tonight is the final performance of Recital 2026 and we are already emotional. π₯Ήπ
Three nights. Hundreds of dancers. Countless hours of hard work leading to this moment. Watching our students take the stage and perform with confidence, joy, and genuine artistry is one of the greatest privileges of running this studio.
To every dancer performing tonight: you have earned every second of this. Go out there and leave it all on the stage.
Here we go. Final curtain. Let's make it unforgettable. π
