Our hallways looked like a World Cup stadium on June 16th! Huge thanks to all the students and staff who rocked their favorite team jerseys for Jersey Day. From legendary clubs to international favorites, the school spirit and love for the game were on full display.

The “Ahl (people of) Al- Qur’an” Ceremony is a special celebration for memorising the entire Holy Qur’an at Omar Ibn Al-Khattab School, organised on Friday, June 12 by the School Islamic Department. This event represents one of the school’s most honorable and distinguished milestones, where we recognize and celebrate those who have persevered, dedicated their time and effort, and worked diligently in memorizing and learning the Book of Allah SWT.

Allah Almighty has honored them with His divine selection, as He says: “Then We caused to inherit the Book those whom We have chosen from among Our servants.” (Qur’an 35:32) Thus, they have been granted the honor of being chosen by Allah, and they have also received the praise of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said: “Indeed, Allah has His own people among mankind.”
It was asked, “Who are they, O Messenger of Allah?”
He replied, “The people of the Qur’an are the people of Allah and His special ones.

For this reason, the name “Ahl (people of) Al-Qur’an” was chosen for this blessed ceremony, following the designation given by our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, honoring their noble status, and celebrating their remarkable achievement in memorizing, understanding, and living by the teachings of the Qur’an.
We ask Allah SWT to make the Glorious Qur’an the spring of our hearts and the light of our souls, to bless our sons and daughters among the People of the Qur’an, and to make them among His chosen and beloved servants in this life and the Hereafter.
All praise is due to Allah, Lord of all worlds.

We are glad to share the news of one of our grade 9T students, Rahma Metwally, who has memorized the Holy Quran. The OBK school community congratulates Rahma on her outstanding achievement. We are delighted to share that one of our former Grade 9 CIS OBK students, Hafsa Lallo, has memorized the Holy Quran. The OBK school community extends its heartfelt congratulations on this remarkable achievement.

Hafsa is now attending another high school; however, after her graduation from OBK, she remained connected with her Tahfeeth instructors and, under their online guidance, completed her memorization.

We also commend her parents and teachers for their support and dedication. May this accomplishment inspire others and bring blessings to all involved. Aameen.

🐝 CHAMPIONS OF THE BEE! 🐝
Last Monday, May 25, we hosted our first-ever Spelling Bee, and it was a spectacular showcase of focus, memory, and multilingual mastery! ✨
Our brilliant spellers tackled challenging words from Latin, Spanish, French, and Italian origins. From silent syllables to tricky accents, they proved that language knows no borders! 🌍

Our second annual 'The Stage Is Yours' (Speech Competition) event took place this past Tuesday, May 12 at the school gymnasium, and what an inspiring experience it was! Over the past several weeks, students dedicated themselves to researching, writing, refining, and presenting their work through three rounds of competition. This year’s theme, Reflecting on the Names of Allah, challenged students not only to strengthen their public speaking skills, but also to deepen their understanding of their faith and relationship with Allah (SWT). We are incredibly proud of every student who participated and grateful to our teachers, staff, judges, and families for supporting this journey. We sincerely appreciate the presence of Br.
