Infant Care
12 months – 19 months
In our Infant Care program, your bundle of joy is immersed in a nurturing environment and rich sensory stimuli designed to help him/her grow into a curious, active learner. Each infant has a primary caregiver who engages the child in play and exploration experiences to support the rapid developmental journey that occurs in that all-important first year of life. Primary caregiving by our child development professionals also provides for continuity of care and helps your little one feel safe and secure. Toddler Care
Ages 19 month-36 month
Toddlers are inquisitive and on-the-go and our Toddler program is designed to build on your tyke’s natural tendency to learn through hands-on discovery and to develop social skills through fun interactions. Our experienced teachers take great care to foster independence and self-confidence and to create a safe, organized setting geared for toddler exploration, exercise and expansion of interests. As well, we have an adaptive curriculum that provides varied choices of learning opportunities and allows toddlers to grow and learn at their own pace and in their own unique way. Preschool
Ages 3-4 years
Our Preschool program takes a well-rounded approach to help your child refine and enhance skills and knowledge acquired as a toddler. Our preschool room is set up by design to support purposeful play, promote positive peer interaction, and spark investigation and imagination. The environment is also one of intentional teaching, where all activities have a well-thought-out purpose and unexpected teaching moments are recognized and acted on. What’s more, the program is also infused with enrichment activities such as music, games and storytelling. Pre-Kindergarten
Ages 4-5 years
The Pre-Kindergarten program at Sun Valley Kids Academy is focused on giving your child a running start in kindergarten and building foundational skills for future learning. Our Pre-K students get to participate in diverse activities that introduce core pre-academic areas like science, math, art, letters, words, health and social and emotional development—all within a framework of student-centred learning. This child-centred approach honours different learning styles and nourishes creative thinking, problem solving and decision-making. Kindergarten
Ages 5-6 years
Preparing your child to be successful in school is a top priority of our centre’s academically-rich Kindergarten program. Our comprehensive curriculum provides variety and is presented in a learner-centered manner that gets and keeps kids engaged. There is focus on using the building blocks of math and reading while learning the basics of writing and enhancing language skills. We also help students learn how to work together, and our curriculum is aligned with local and provincial standards so that your child can confidently and seamlessly transition to first grade. Before and After School
Ages 6-12 years
Our Before and After School programs are a great option for busy parents who need a safe, enriching haven for their kids outside of school hours and during school breaks and summer vacations. We offer lots of opportunities for children to stay active and productive. And our supportive environment nurtures children as they make new friends, seek new challenges, and discover their potential.
