Each day, you’ll step into a different leadership role; designated leader, self-leader, peer leader, and team participant while receiving ongoing feedback to refine your skills.

In 4 simple steps, you can diversify your degree by self-registering in the Embedded Certificate in Leadership Studies!

You can apply right away – Applications for a Change of Program opened on October 1st, 2022, and they will close on February 1st, 2023.

Enroll in the certificate as a Change of Program in your Student Centre by going to the Program and Advising Info tab. Then follow the prompts to add the certificate to your degree!

If you have difficulties self-enrolling, speak to your faculty program specialist.

The BMO Mentorship Program is now in its 20th year, and with the generous donation of BMO, it continues to provide invaluable opportunities for mentors and mentees to grow their leadership potential.

This year we were happy to welcome back Dr. Cari Din, CCAL Fellow, to conduct the program's Kick-off. The event focused on kick-starting leadership conversations with mentors and mentees and developing their mentoring relationship!

Available to all University of Calgary undergraduate students, the Embedded Certificate in Leadership Studies (ECLS) gives undergraduate students the opportunity to explore the foundations of leadership and build the necessary skills to succeed as a leader. By adding this six-course embedded certificate, students will supplement the technical knowledge gained through their current program with tangible leadership skills. It’s a great and easy way to diversify your degree and develop your leadership skills.

Students may apply for a program revision through their student centre between Oct 1, 2022 - Feb 1, 2023. Under the Program and Advising Info Tab, student can select the Change of Program link to add the Embedded Certificate in Leadership Studies (LDST-EMC) to their degree!
