New name, same renowned child care!

Effective as of June 17, 2026, our LINC Preschool program officially transitioned to a new name: YWCA Cambridge Wesley Child Care.

For over 60 years, YWCA Cambridge has been a proud leader in high-quality, licensed child care. Additionally, to further support our community and provide additional opportunities for children to participate in engaging, enriching, and inclusive programming, this location now provides a licensed full-time summer camp program.

While our name is changing, our nurturing, high-quality, and inclusive care remains exactly the same. You can read the full blog post here: [https://ywcacambridge.ca/linc-preschool-is-now-named-ywca-cambridge-wesley-child-care/]

Last week, representatives of Meridian Credit Union stopped by to visit YWCA Cambridge's Head Office and to hear about ways they can support our important mission through their Good Neighbour program.

Meridian’s Good Neighbour program supports local causes, empowering our districts and branches to champion grassroots initiatives that reflect community priorities. This year, YWCA Cambridge was lucky to receive support from this program for the 2026 Women of Distinction Awards. Without core funding, the sustainability of our program offerings relies on funds raised through events, especially Women of Distinction, emphasizing how critical this partnership is.

With the support of Meridian Credit Union, we will continue to advance our mission to create safer, more supportive pathways to housing, learning, and economic stability for women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals.

Today is National Indigenous Peoples Day! We celebrate the rich cultural heritage, history, resilience, contributions and diversity of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people across Turtle Island. 🧡
At YWCA Cambridge, we do this work on the Haldimand Tract, land promised to the Haudenosaunee of the Six Nations, spanning six miles on each side of the Grand River. This territory is the traditional land of the Chinnonton, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee Peoples.

🙌Each dollar raised supports programs and services for women, girls, and gender-diverse individuals. Our programs would not be possible without this integral fundraising. We thank all of our sponsors and donors for making this spectrum of care possible.
