LEVY: Toronto school trustees vote 13-4 to make vaccination mandatory for students In less than an hour on Thursday, Toronto District School Board trustees voted 13-4 to have the COVID-19 vaccine made compulsory under the Immunization of School Pupils Act.

“I am here to tell you that any delay of school opening is inexcusable, given everything we know about the potential benefits and the known risks of closing schools and of CV19.”

GRANT: Closing schools at this point is inexcusable It's almost impossible to enumerate the harms of school closures, and the real impact can only been seen years from now

I’d like to take a moment to thank all those that supported my candidacy! It’s a big job just running for a position at the table and I’d like to congratulate all candidates from last night’s election.

I learned a lot about the process, issues within our school system and connected with many very cool people along the way!

I threw my hat into the ring very last-minute and ran a very transparent and different platform than the others in my Ward.

As the school day ends today and children and parents / caregivers return home, my hope is that everyone whose lives have been positively touched by a teacher past or present, will reflect on the hard work and dedication that those educators drew upon to shape the lives of so many.
Success in education lies heavily with those at the front of the classrooms and for this, I’d like to extend a personal thank you to my teachers from many years ago, as well as those now entrusted with my son.
