Students from Harry Ainlay School are turning rail safety into public art! π¨π
As part of an Edmonton Transit Service - ETS initiative, students were invited to create artwork inspired by the theme βWhy wait?β, encouraging everyone to look, listen and wait at LRT crossings.
Teacher Tania Unguran says the students wanted to participate to reinforce the importance of rail safety to their peers, and that itβs a huge honour for the students to have their art on public display.
See their work for yourself! π Stop by LRT crossings along 111 Street at 40 Avenue, 43 Avenue and Whitemud Drive to experience these incredible pieces and the important safety message behind them.

Whatβs all the buzz about at W. P. Wagner School? ππ―
The school welcomed a new indoor observation beehive! The glass-encased hive gives students a close-up view of a live, working bee colony. They can watch honeybees at work, learn about the life cycle, find the queen and see how honey is made.
The project is part of the schoolβs Natural Sciences program and is supported by a grant from The Bee Cause Project. It aims to teach students about the important role pollinators play in our global food system.
