Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!

Today, we pray that our Catholic schools would remain in the heart of Jesus and that the mercy of God would fill our boardrooms, offices, classrooms and homes.

From June 4-6, our Executive had the pleasure of traveling to Winnipeg for CCSTA's annual conference and AGM. We are grateful for the opportunity to work closely with our Catholic education colleagues from across Canada!

As well, to representatives from the Alberta Catholic School Trustees' Association, Fédération des conseils scolaires francophones de l'Alberta, Public School Boards' Association of Alberta - PSBAA, College of Alberta School Superintendents, Alberta School Councils' Association and the Alberta School Business Officials Association for joining us throughout the event.

Collaboration across Alberta’s education sector helps support student success and advance shared priorities.

For the past few days, our Executive has been delighted to be attending the Alberta School Boards Association's Spring General Meeting. It is always a privilege to gather alongside so many excellent school boards from across Alberta!

On May 28-29, our Executive attended the annual Mission Collaborative Initiative Summit, hosted by the Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton. Catholic institutional leaders from across the province gathered to discuss the use of AI through the lens of Catholic social teaching. We were grateful to connect with so many individuals who are seeking to lead their respective organizations with wisdom.

Our Executive is delighted to be attending the Spring General Meeting for the Alberta School Boards Association. Grateful to be working alongside so many excellent school boards!

Holy Trinity Sunday invites us to contemplate the central mystery of our faith: one God in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

This feast reminds us that we are called into relationship, just as the Trinity itself is a perfect communion of love. As Catholic school trustees, we are entrusted with nurturing this same spirit of communion in our schools, where students, families, and staff come together as one community of faith. May the Trinity guide our decisions and inspire us to lead with wisdom and unity.

On May 25-26, our board is gathered for our May board meeting in Leduc, Alberta. It's been a time of prayerful discussion, productivity and, most of all, a desire to do all we can to ensure our Catholic school system is guided and animated by the Holy Spirit.

On this feast of Saint Philip Neri, we ask for his intercession!
