St. James Catholic Elementary School Grade 5 and 6 NSL students had a wonderful afternoon of learning and sharing at Treaty Day in Atikameksheng Anishnawbek. Students deepened their understanding of Treaty and their connection to the Robinson Huron Treaty. They also got to explore some interactive booths learning more about the First Nation. And as a special treat, they toured the fish and turtle egg hatchery with Species at Risk Coordinator, Nigel. Our students also shared their Anishinaabemowin projects which many of the elders enjoyed. Chi-miigwetch to Atikameksheng Anishnawbek for hosting our students!
