We had a fantastic Family Fair this year at SMS! 🎉

With games, cotton candy, ice cream, face painting, rock wall climbing, and a bouncy castle, it was the perfect way to wrap up the 2025–2026 school year.

What a joyful celebration of our school community! Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make the day so special.

We will miss you all and wish everyone a safe, happy, and fun-filled summer. ☀️ See you in September!

🎓 Grade 8 Graduation 🎓

In true Montessori spirit, we celebrate not just an ending, but the completion of an important stage of growth, independence, and self-discovery.

Our Grade 8 graduates have developed confidence, responsibility, and a love of learning that will guide them far beyond SMS. As they move on to high school, they carry with them the skills to think critically, work collaboratively, and follow their curiosity with purpose.

We are so proud of all they have achieved on their journey. Wishing them continued success as they step forward into their next chapter. 💙

Last Thursday our Grade 8 students had the incredible opportunity to step aboard a traditionally-rigged vessel with Brigs Youth Sail Training—a unique experience focused on building leadership, confidence, and teamwork through hands-on adventure at sea. ⛵⚓🌊🧭🗺️

From hoisting sails to navigating open water, students embraced the challenge while strengthening life skills, supporting one another, and learning about the marine heritage of the Great Lakes. It was a day full of fresh air, new experiences, and memories they’ll carry into high school and beyond! 🌞✨🎓

The celebration continued with a special graduation dinner at Moxies, where students gathered to reflect on their journey, celebrate their accomplishments, and enjoy time together before their next chapter begins. 🎉🍽️

Congratulations to our Grade 8 graduates—we are so proud of all you have achieved and can’t wait to see what the future holds! 💙

We are incredibly grateful for the generosity and support of our school community. Thanks to everyone who participated in our Dress Down for Charity fundraiser, we raised an amazing $2,582.83 for the World Wildlife Fund Canada. Your contributions will help support important wildlife conservation efforts, and we are proud to make a positive impact together!

Off to Canada’s Wonderland! 🎶🎢🎠🎡🎼🍦🎟️ 🎤

Our students gave a beautiful, confident performance at the Festival of Music and represented Sunshine Montessori School with pride, talent, and teamwork. 🌞🏅👏 After shining on stage, they celebrated with a day of well-earned fun in the park—roller coasters, treats, and lots of laughter! It was a perfect mix of music, memories, and joy.

A huge thank you to Mr. Murray for his leadership, dedication, and energy all year long. He’s made choir not only a space for growth and success—but a place full of fun, encouragement, and love for music. 🙌

⚾ Three Pitch Day! ⚾

Yesterday our Grade 4–6 students stepped up to the plate for a day of friendly competition and teamwork at Peter Hallman Park… and won 1st place! 🌟

At Sunshine Montessori School, opportunities like these help students build confidence, sportsmanship, perseverance, and leadership skills both on and off the field. We are so proud of their teamwork put into action! 💙💛

🌿 Exploring Crawford Lake! 🌿

Today, our Grade 1–3 students headed to Crawford Lake Conservation Area for a day of discovery, exploration, and outdoor learning! 🍃🐢🌎

Montessori education encourages children to connect with the world around them through hands-on experiences, curiosity, and observation. We’re excited for our students to learn from nature while creating lasting memories together. 💚
