Pumpkinseed Pond

I was in a hurry to get going after being there for a while. I happened to notice the reflection sun line up with the duck while I was leaving and was able to move into just the right angle to take this shot.

About me: I've always enjoyed taking photos with my phone and basic digital cameras. I felt very limited in what I could capture, but I couldn't really justify buying anything more than that though. My father was a butterfly and insect photographer, but as a child I always shied away from using his film cameras. He had since upgraded to DSLRs, but I never really had the chance to try them out.

After he passed away I inherited his DSLR cameras and equipment and completely fell in love with it. Since then, I've upgraded to my current setup and get out whenever I'm able.

Canon EOS R7 and RF 100-400mm lens at 400mm
1/500 f/8.0 ISO 640
Full manual I think. Possibly auto-ISO.
Simple editing in Lightroom Classic. No masking or noise removal. Mostly just high contrast (+50) and lowered highlights.
