I've been asked if having tattoos is a hindrance working with the elderly population, and in my experience, I've never had a client have issues with my tattoos.
In most instances, clients are more curious than anything and like to ask me questions such as does it hurt, what are your tattoos of etc. My tattoos have been a great conversation starter.
So, in short, having tattoos is totally fine. As long as your tattoos aren't lewd or of an offensive nature, then you're good to go.

We don't know about you, but we sure are glad it's Friday!
It's easy to bring work home with us. Here are some tips to help shift your mindset from work to weekend mode!
1. Use your commute home as a time to listen to your favourite music. If you're alone in your car, why not make it a karaoke session?
2. It's nice to talk to our loved ones about our work day but sometimes it's helpful to give ourselves a time limit to prevent us from staying in work mode.
3. Practice a favourite self-care activity to start your transition to relaxation time
4. Treat yourself to a delicious meal or drink that you've been craving
What are some of your favourite ways to slide into weekend mode?

Did you know that accredited music therapists must keep advancing their knowledge of music therapy techniques?
Through continuing education, music therapists learn new techniques and absorb the latest research. They do this by attending conferences, taking courses, participating in music activities, and more.
