Tyrone Paterson, one of Canada's most renowned opera conductors, currently holds the position of Music Advisor and Principal Conductor for Manitoba Opera. With an extensive knowledge of operatic repertoire, he has graced the stages of opera companies and orchestras across Canada, the US, Asia, and Europe. Maestro Paterson made his professional conducting debut with Calgary Opera, leading the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of 25. He has also served as the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of Opera Lyra Ottawa for 16 seasons.

We are thrilled to announce that Maestro Paterson will be returning to the podium to conduct Cosi fan tutte, which will take place at the Centennial Concert Hall on April 22, 25 and 28th.

“It is with great sadness that I learned the news of Peter Herrndorf's passing. Peter was a remarkable individual who dedicated his life to promoting and preserving Canada's cultural heritage. My deepest condolences to Peter's family and loved ones.

Peter was as a board member of the Canadian Museum of History, where he served for several years, including three years as Chair of the Board. During his time on the board, he played a vital role in shaping the museum's direction.

He recognized that museums play a critical role in preserving and sharing our collective stories, and he worked tirelessly to ensure that the Museum fulfilled its mandate. He was a fierce advocate for the arts.

Peter's contributions to the Museum will be felt for generations to come. Thank you, Peter.“
