Display case is finally done! Come take a look if you are headed to the main floor washrooms, class, the outcrop room, or if you feel like a walk down the hall. It's got models of some of the infrastructure for oil and gas, info about the Oil Museum, info about the club, a list of our executive officers, and our email and website.
This Thursday (October 22nd) Western will be hosting AAPG Visiting Geoscientist, Peter Putnam (full bio: http://www.aapg.org/career/training/in-person/visiting-geoscientist/details/articleid/16875/peter-putnam).
Peter will be giving us a talk entitled “The importance of field work and rock work in developing Canada’s bitumen reservoirs” – a topic which I think most of us can relate to, or we wouldn’t have all those fun field photos and stories when we come back from the summer.
Join us from 1:30-2:20 on Thursday in BGS 1069.
All are welcome.
Coffee and donuts will be provided.
Peter said he can probably stick around after his talk, so for anyone who is interested, we will be going over to the grad club post-lecture.
