Home 404 est une installation vidéo qui repense le concept de foyer et d’identité diasporique.

L’œuvre est une reconstitution des souvenirs de Sondi du Cameroun et s’inspire de rituels incarnés par des masques habités par des esprits. L’installation est un mémoire imaginatif et visuel du « chez-soi », suggérant qu’il pourrait s’agir d’un non-espace dynamique et en constante évolution, construit par l’histoire, la langue, la culture, la musique, le temps et, surtout, la mémoire. Cette fluidité du chez-soi et de l’identité est soulignée par le mouvement constant du paysage numérique.

Home 404 is a video installation that rethinks the concept of home and diasporic identity.

The work is a reconstruction of memories from Sondi’s home in Cameroon and is inspired by rituals that are embodied as masks inhabited by spirits. The installation is an imaginative and visual memoir of “home” suggesting it could be a non-space that is dynamic and in flux, constructed by history, language, culture, music, time, and, above all, memory. This fluidity of home and identity is emphasized by the constant movement of the digital landscape.

[Exposition] Nous sommes heureux de vous presenter "Pratiques collectives de soin", une exposition sous la direction d'Erandy Vergara-Vargas qui aura lieu du 15 juin jusqu'au 6 septembre 2026 et qui sera présenté sur nos fenêtres et dans notre bibliothèque.

Dans un monde de plus en plus marqué par des propos qui divisent et blessent, une question importante se pose : comment les communautés concernées réagissent-elles ? En luttant contre la discrimination, en imaginant un avenir plus juste, en encourageant l'empathie, en partageant leurs propres expériences lorsque cela est possible et en contribuant ainsi à lutter contre la division. Cette sélection de 4 œuvres d'artistes du Canada, de l'Allemagne et des Pays-Bas nous invite à une réflexion constructive sur un monde hostile ainsi qu’une exploration de gestes de solidarité et de pratiques de soin pour construire des communautés.

We are happy to present you "Collective Forms of Care", an exhibition curated by Erandy Vergara-Vargas which will take place from June 15 to September 6, 2026 and which will be displayed in our windows and in our library.

In a world increasingly marked by divisive and offensive language amplified by public figures and social media, an important question is how targeted communities respond: by resisting discrimination, imagining more equitable futures, fostering empathy, sharing their lived struggles, and countering division. This selection of four works by artists from Germany, Canada and the Netherlands encourages thoughtful reflection on such hostility.

"Collective Forms of Care" is an invitation engage in constructive reflection on a hostile world and to explore acts of solidarity and care practices as a means of building communities.

Souhaitant voir la neige et apprendre l'allemand, la jeune Vietnamienne Trúc Lâm s'installe dans un petit village au cœur des monts Métallifères, en Saxe. Elle est fascinée par la forêt, les montagnes et l'air pur qui sent les nuages et l'hiver et qui lui pique le nez lorsqu'elle l'inspire – ce qui lui vaut d'être ridiculisée par ses camarades de classe. Lors d’une excursion dans une mine, elle se perd dans le labyrinthe des galeries sombres et ressort soudain de l’autre côté de la montagne. Ce monde ressemble presque entièrement à l’ancien – mais les personnages ont changé.

Dans la ville de l’autre côté, elle fait la connaissance de Duc, le fils d’une famille vietnamienne qui tient un snack asiatique. Et tandis que Duc tente de trouver l’équilibre entre ses origines germano-vietnamiennes et de répondre aux attentes des autres, Trúc Lâm accepte l’aide d’un esprit pour retrouver le chemin de son monde.

La projection sera précédé du court-métrage Hole (Corée du Sud | 1974 | 9 min.) dans le cadre de la rétrospective Han Ok-Hee.

Wanting to see snow and learn German, Trúc Lâm, a young Vietnamese woman, moves to a small town in the heart of the Ore Mountains in Saxony. She is fascinated by the forest, the mountains, and the crisp air, which smells of clouds and winter and stings her nose when she breathes it in—a fact for which her classmates tease her. During a trip to a mine, she gets lost in the labyrinth of dark shafts and suddenly emerges on the other side of the mountain. This world is almost exactly like the old one—but the people have been swapped out.

In the town on the other side, she meets Duc, the son of a Vietnamese family who runs an Asian takeout restaurant. And while Duc tries to find a balance between his German-Vietnamese heritage and living up to others’ expectations, Trúc Lâm accepts the help of a spirit to find her way back to her world.

The screening will be preceded by the short film Hole (South Korea | 1974 | 9 min.) as part of the Han Ok-Hee retrospective.

This panel will discuss pathways for bridging the gaps between generations and sectors in the arts, and building new bridges between cultural communities.
