What happens when art, science, and community come together? Something pretty special. 🌟
This year’s Brain & Mental Health Art Show brought together over 350 attendees!
Because of your generosity and support, we are incredibly proud to share that together we raised $9,111 for CAPSA, helping support their work and mission in substance use health and community support.
To everyone who attended, shared artwork, volunteered, contributed to the silent auction, purchased raffle tickets, or helped spread the word — thank you for being part of this community and helping make this event what it is.
To our volunteers, faculty supporters, and the generous local businesses who donated goods and services: thank you for the time, care, and energy you gave to making this event possible.
Every conversation shared, artwork submitted, ticket purchased, and contribution made helped create something meaningful. We are so grateful to have shared this evening with you.
See you next year? 🧠🖼️

🐝 Brain Bee winners visit CIHR leaders and the Minister of Health 🇨🇦
In recognition of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, Anya Sinha and Melisa Eraslan, past Ottawa Brain Bee champions, visited CIHR offices earlier this week to meet with Dr. Paul Hébert and Dr. Tammy Clifford. They later met with the Honourable Marjorie Michel, Minister of Health, on Parliament Hill.
Both former champions are currently pursuing research-focused paths, a testament to the impact of initiatives like the CIHR Canadian National Brain Bee, which inspires the next generation of research talent.
