Éléna Choquee is a professor of political theory in the Department of Social Sciences at UQO | Université du Québec en Outaouais.

Her book, published by UBC Press, examines the political, legal, and rhetorical tactics deployed by Canadian officialdom in the cause of nation-making, from the first articulation of expansionism in the 1857 Gradual Civilization Act to the consolidation of authority over the prairies following the North-West Resistance of 1885.

Son œuvre, publiée par UBC Press, examine les tactiques politiques, juridiques et rhétoriques déployées par l’administration canadienne au service de la construction nationale, depuis la première formulation de l’expansionnisme dans la Loi sur la civilisation progressive de 1857 jusqu’à la consolidation de l’autorité sur les Prairies à la suite de la Rébellion du Nord-Ouest de 1885.

Marie-Ève Bradette est professeure adjointe au département de littérature, théâtre et cinéma de l’Université Laval et titulaire de la Chaire de leadership en enseignement des littératures autochtones au Québec - Maurice-Lemire.

Son ouvrage, publié aux Presses de l'Université de Montréal, se penche sur la manière dont les autrices autochtones contemporaines, qui écrivent majoritairement en anglais ou en français, négocient avec le langage en créant une alternative critique à la dépossession et à l’invisibilisation qui ont marqué l’histoire de leurs peuples.

Marie-Ève Bradette is an assistant professor in the Department of Literature, Theatre, and Film at l’Université Lavaland holds the Maurice-Lemire Chair in Leadership in the Teaching of Indigenous Literatures in Quebec.

Her book, published with Presses de l'Université de Montréal, examines how contemporary Indigenous women writers, who write primarily in English or French, engage with language to create a critical alternative to the dispossession and erasure that have marked the history of their peoples.
