Our Grade 5 students had the opportunity to take part in a frog dissection enrichment lab as part of our Human Body unit!

This experience helped bring their learning to life as they explored anatomy up close and made meaningful connections to the body systems they’ve been studying.

Our grade 7s and 8s have set off on their end-of-year trips, and we hope they are having an amazing time together, making memories that will last long after they leave these school halls.

Yesterday, staff showed their love for Mr. Wilson as he gets closer to retirement by wearing apparel featuring one of his favourite characters, Snoopy!

It was a fun way to celebrate someone who has brought so much to our school community. Wishing Mr. Wilson all the best and good luck on his next adventure!

What a fantastic day for our school community! We began with our annual House Assembly, where we celebrated a year of teamwork, spirit, and participation. Congratulations to the Blue Jays, who were announced as this year's House Cup champions!

After the assembly, students and staff enjoyed a whole-school picnic in the beautiful sunshine. It was a wonderful day of celebration and community to wrap up the year together.

Throughout the month of May, our school community had the opportunity to celebrate Asian Heritage Month through a variety of engaging and enriching workshops. Students explored the art of henna, learned about manga and anime, discovered the beauty of traditional Chinese painting, and experienced the energy and culture of Thai dance.

We wrapped up the month today with an incredible Taiko drumming performance that captivated students and staff alike. Thank you to all of our presenters and performers for sharing their talents, traditions, and cultures with us. These experiences provided meaningful opportunities for learning, appreciation, and celebration of the rich diversity that makes our community so special.

Congratulations to our Math League winners and our Character Trait Award recipients, who were recognized during this morning’s Primary/Junior assembly!

Yesterday, Mrs. Hornyak took a group of Grade 8 students to the STEM Complex at the University of Ottawa for two engaging coding workshops. In “Defend the Cyberspace,” students analyzed a hacked math contest and investigated how the attack occurred. In the second workshop, they explored a smart home simulation, hacking into the system to customize its settings. It was an enriching experience and a fantastic opportunity for advanced STEM learning!
