On Friday, we held our commencement ceremony to celebrate our graduating Class of 2026. During their time at Southridge, they brought the energy, the laughs, and occasionally a little chaos. But they also brought heart, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to one another.

The Class of 2026 faced challenges, celebrated successes, and created memories that will last a lifetime. Through it all, they rallied together, supported one another, and showed up for each other, proving that challenges can become opportunities for growth and connection.

As you take your next steps, we hope you carry forward the friendships, lessons, and experiences that shaped your journey. We’re so proud of all you’ve accomplished and wish you the very best in your next chapter.💙💛🎓

Earlier this week, our Grade 7 students and their parents gathered for the Grade 7 Finale Dinner and Celebration, a special evening inspired by this year’s theme, ‘Go for Gold.’ The event celebrated the many talents, passions, hobbies, sports, and interests that make this class so unique. ✨

As they prepare for the exciting transition to high school, we celebrate all they have accomplished and how much they’ve grown throughout their Junior School journey. We’re so proud of them and can’t wait to see what they achieve next. 💫

Thank you to everyone who helped make this memorable evening such an amazing celebration.💙🎉

As summer break begins, our Senior School Counsellor offers a thoughtful invitation: make space to slow down.

In a world that often celebrates busyness and achievement, this reflection encourages everyone to embrace stillness, self-awareness, and the kind of growth that happens when we create room to simply be present.

In this heartfelt reflection, she shares what first brought her to Southridge, the experiences that shaped her career, the joy of watching her own daughters grow up at the school, and the lessons she hopes students carry forward. We’re excited that we’ll still have her back as a TOC, and wish her well in having more time to spend doing the things she enjoys with her loved ones.

From powerful ideas to personal passions - our Grade 7 TEDx presentations on Friday and Grades 2-4 Public Speaking Celebration held today showcased the incredible voices across our school. Grade 7 students tackled complex, thought-provoking topics including AI, child labour, teen insecurity, gender bias in sports, and gender stereotypes and misogyny, while our younger students confidently shared the things they love most, from hobbies and pets to favourite sports and interests. Congratulations to our students on a wonderful celebration of courage, curiosity, and communication.
