Last week our Grade 5 class learned about Marsha P. Johnson and her message of love, acceptance, and standing up for others. Inspired by her story, students created beautiful multi-layered paper hearts, with each layer featuring words and phrases that reflected love, inclusiveness, and belonging.

The results were thoughtful, artistic, and a wonderful expression of the values we strive to cultivate in our community. Beautiful work, Grade 5!

What a wonderful day of movement, rhythm, and community spirit at the TWS Skip-a-thon! Students gathered pledges in support of our Forest Playground Rejuvenation Project, embracing the challenge with enthusiasm and determination.

From creative skipping styles to friendly challenges, there was no shortage of laughter and energy. The excitement was contagious, even teachers found themselves with a rope in hand! Thank you to all who supported this special event and helped our students take meaningful steps toward renewing their treasured outdoor space.

In an age of instant answers and endless technology, true problem-solving is more important than ever.

At TWS, students are encouraged to think critically, experiment creatively, and draw upon the knowledge they’ve built in the classroom to find their own solutions.

Take a look at how our high school students tackled the challenge of lighting a match without ever touching the match itself!

In Waldorf education, chalkboard art has long been a cherished tradition. Not only does this bring beauty into the classroom, but also helps to awaken imagination, wonder, and a living connection to the subjects being studied. Each drawing offers students a gentle invitation into the rhythm and spirit of the day’s lesson.

Take a look at some of the chalkboard drawings TWS teachers have brought to the classroom this week!

Today's ALUM SHOUTOUT congratulates author Cheryl Skory Suma for her second place win in the Blank Spaces literary magazine's 2020 contest for her short story "Weightless Words Meant for Letters". Cheryl has been sharing her work over the past weeks. This is a raw and courageous work of fiction, full of heartbreak and hope. Have a read, my friends. Congratulations, Cheryl! 🧡

In high school, students deepen their scientific inquiry with precision and independence. Through lab work, research, and thoughtful discussion, they explore the laws of the natural world while developing critical thinking. Science becomes not just knowledge, but a meaningful way to engage with the world.

Join us and learn more about how science comes to life from kindergarten to high school at TWS by joining our PEP talk on May 20 at 7pm! Check out TWS PEP talks by visiting our website:

What an amazing turnout! A heartfelt thank you to all the parents and children who came together for this year’s TWS Garden Day to help revitalize our Kindergarten yard. Through many hands, joyful spirits, and plenty of hard work, the space was renewed with beauty and care. It was a wonderful weekend of community-building, laughter, and tending the earth together. It was a true reflection of the warmth that lives at TWS.
