Mazal Tov to the Class of 2026! 🎓💙
As our graduates prepare for their next chapter, Head of School Jake Gallinger reflects on what it means to leave Bialik — carrying forward not only knowledge, but the values, resilience and sense of purpose that will guide them wherever they go.

Our Grade 6 entrepreneurs dove into the shark tank with all their great ideas. To prepare for their shark tank pitches, they had researched real challenges faced by developing countries and designed simple, low-cost solutions to make a difference.
Armed with creativity, compassion and some seriously convincing sales pitches, they did their best to win over our panel of "Sharks."
Who knew changing the world could come with so many great business deals?
Mazal Tov to our winners from both branches and a very special thank you to our esteemed judges.

At Graduation Breakfasts at both branches, our Grade 8 families and students reflected on their Bialik journeys. Surrounded by words of pride and admiration from teachers, administrators and student leaders, students were honoured for all they have accomplished and the remarkable young people they have become.
We are so proud of you, Class of 2026. Your roots are strong, your future is bright and your Bialik family will always be here, cheering you on. 🎓

Our students’ Grade 8 graduation marks the culmination of their elementary school career as they move onto high school. They have grown up and matured at Bialik, learning critical thinking and problem-solving skills and they have gained the foundation for their Jewish identities and love of Israel.
To honour this special milestone, our grad families can support the school and add their grads’ leaf to the Tree of Honour at each Branch. Their signature is beautifully laser-cut onto their own individual leaf so they can leave their mark on the Tree of Honour.
Mazal Tov!

There are some goodbyes that are especially hard.
Today, our students said farewell to our incredible ShinShinim, Alma, Adi, Shachar and Alma, who have become such a special part of our Bialik family. Through heartfelt poems, thoughtful gifts and a spirited game of “How Well Do You Know Our ShinShinim?” our students shared just how much these remarkable young leaders have meant to them.
There were tears, hugs and so much love as we celebrated the friendships and memories that will stay with us long after this goodbye.

Parliament Hill, Rideau Hall, the Supreme Court, ByWard Market — our Grade 8s had a great time in Ottawa. 🇨🇦
This unforgettable grad trip brought together students from both branches, creating new friendships while exploring the heart of Canada’s government, history and culture.
One of the most meaningful moments came at the National Holocaust Memorial, where students gathered to honour the victims of the Holocaust. There, arm in arm, they sang HaTikvah together — a powerful expression of remembrance, unity, and Jewish pride.

Our Viewmount Grade 5 Project Giveback Fair was a beautiful celebration of our students’ research into causes and organizations they care deeply about. ❤️
Students shared their learning with their families and we are so proud of the thoughtfulness, passion and leadership they demonstrated as they explored how even small acts of kindness can create meaningful change in the world.

From their very first buddy activity to their last, our JKs and Grade 8s have shared so many special moments together. đź’™
Buddying up for the last time this year, they welcomed Shabbat, enjoyed a cool treat and spent time playing and laughing outdoors. While our Grade 8s may be preparing for their next adventure, the friendships, memories and kindness they shared with their buddies will always hold a special place in their hearts.

Our Bialik community came together with thousands across the city for UJA’s Walk With Israel — celebrating our connection to Israel and showing the strength of our community.
The smiles, the flags and the sense of belonging were a beautiful reminder that we are strongest when we walk together.
