Dear Ms Howard,

I am writing to ask if you are able to help my daughter with her IELTS preparation.

My daughter, Ann, is going to have an IELTS exam in December to apply for a University scholarship in Canada, and she is struggling to prepare for it. The problems in IELTS preparation stem from the fact that she is fear of writing essays. She was also unable to attend a course of grammar lessons, and so she lacks confidence when asked to form complex sentences in writing.

Can I ask you about your experience teaching high school students? Are you familiar with IELTS exam structure, in particular writing letters and essays that are covered in the test?
Perhaps you could also tell me a little about the methods you use to build students'writing skills.

Ann is free every weekday after school, so I was hoping that you could tutor her 1 hour online in late afternoon or late evening. Two lessons per week would be ideal.

My daughter, Ann, missed the majority of the autumn school term due to covid-19, and she is struggling to catch up. Her problems in English lessons stem from the fact that she was off school when the teacher introduce the sentence structures. She was also unable to attend a course of the pronunciation lessons, and so she lacks confidence when asked to speak in front of the other students.

Can I ask you about your experience teaching high school students? Are you familiar with the curriculum, in particular the grammar and vocabulary topics that are cover in year 9?

Perhaps you could also tell me a little about the method you use to build students' pronunciation and conversation skills.

Ann is free every weekday after school, so I was hoping that you could come to our house to teach her in late afternoon or early evening. Two lessons per week would be ideal.
