An independent boys' day school,
Grades 3-12, in the heart of Toronto's Annex neighbourhood Royal St.

George's College is an urban day school, with a challenging programme of academics and extra-curricular activities designed to prepare students for placement at the university of their choice. Our high academic standards, strong support system and our expectation that students will participate in athletics, music, the arts, public speaking and outdoor education is how we deliver on that promise.

"Yesterday was a huge milestone day in the history of our vocal programme," writes Director of Choral Music, Daniel Webb, on tour with the Chapel Choir. "It was a wonderful day at Hereford Cathedral , as our choir attended a superb organ recital given by RSGC alumnus Sebastian Moreau '25 before singing Choral Evensong with the Cathedral Choir. Our sincere thanks to the Cathedral clergy and Music Department for their warm welcome, especially to Director of Music Andrew Reid for working us so hard but always with a smile!"

Today the RSGC Chapel Choir visited the Big Pit National Coal Museum, located in Blaenavon (Blaenafon), Torfaen, in South Wales. The museum is at the site of Blaenavon’s last coal mine, which was in operation from 1860 to 1980.

While there the choir sang Llef—Welsh for “A Cry”—a beloved Welsh hymn with words by David Charles (1803–1880) and the tune composed in 1890 by Griffith Hugh Jones.

Every stack tells a story.

As a year-end reflection, our Grade 8 students created bookmarks that capture the books they read this year. Together, these bookmarks represent hours spent immersed in stories, exploring new ideas, and discovering books that resonated with them.

At RSGC, fostering a love of reading is a priority. Our goal is not simply to develop strong readers, but to help students experience the enjoyment, wonder, and personal growth that come from reading for pleasure.

These Grade 8 bookmarks offer a snapshot of one year's reading journey and serve as a reminder that the habits and joy of reading can last a lifetime.

What a privilege to sing Choral Evensong at St Woolos Cathedral yesterday! Thank you so much for your kind hospitality and warm welcome.

Today the RSGC choir took part in Evensong in Newport Cathedral in Newport, South Wales. Also known as St Woolos Cathedral, Newport is one of the oldest Christian sites in Wales, with origins traditionally traced to around AD 500 when St Gwynllyw founded a place of worship there. The present building combines early medieval, Norman, and later Victorian elements, reflecting centuries of rebuilding and restoration.
