Making bumblebee 🐝 cupcakes 🧁✨

We set up our tuff tray with water, soil, buttercup flowers and lots of tools — and the children jumped right into scooping, stirring, mixing and transferring 🌼

What a fun way to practise fine motor skills, take turns, measure and explore through hands-on learning 💛

Yesterday was a day full of joy, celebration, and connection ✨

We celebrated our wonderful 2026 graduates 🎓 and continued with a beautiful picnic where families from all three of our Lower Mainland locations came together to snack, play, chat, and connect 💛

What a wonderful sunny day filled with smiles, laughter, and special memories. ☀️

Thank you to all of our amazing families for being part of our community — and congratulations to our graduates! We are so proud of you 🌱🎓

🐛🦋 The magic of transformation came alive in our classroom ✨

Inspired by “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”, we explored the incredible life cycle of a butterfly through stories, art, observation, and hands-on discovery.

We created our own caterpillars and butterflies, welcomed real caterpillars into our classroom, watched them munch, grow, and create their chrysalis… then waited patiently for the most magical moment — a butterfly emerging 🦋

Releasing our beautiful painted ladies into our flower garden was such a special experience 🌸

When children can see, touch, wonder, and experience learning for themselves… stories and theories truly come alive ❤️

Mixing, stirring, scooping… flower potion magic in the making! 🧪🌸✨

Our preschoolers had a wonderful time ending our Insects & Flowers theme by creating their very own flower potions—full of creativity, curiosity, and imagination. 🌼🐝

🌸 Employee Spotlight: Bryanne 🌸

This month, we’re excited to celebrate Bryanne, an incredible member of our Crescent Park team! 💛

Bryanne has been with Blossoms & Roots since the very beginning and has grown alongside our centres and the children in our care. With her Early Childhood Education and Infant & Toddler certifications, she brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to everything she does.

Bryanne has a natural gift for helping children learn, grow, and succeed. Her background in coaching dance, cheerleading, and swimming shines through in the way she encourages and supports each child, celebrating their accomplishments every step of the way.

We are so grateful for Bryanne’s dedication, positivity, and the meaningful connections she builds with children, families, and her coworkers. She is truly an amazing asset to our Crescent Park team, and we are lucky to have her as part of the Blossoms & Roots family! 🌱✨

A forest walk with a very special discovery! 🐦🌲✨

We were lucky enough to spot a pileated woodpecker up close — what a perfect introduction to our new theme: Birds & Eggs! 🪺

Back at preschool, we dove into a book all about woodpeckers. We learned about their strong bills and skulls, where they live, and what they love to eat.

A beautiful reminder that some of the best learning happens when we step outside and explore! 💚

The perfect ending to our farm-themed month at Crescent Park! 🐣💛

After weeks of learning about life on the farm, we were lucky enough to watch two baby chicks hatch right in our classroom incubator. The children proudly named them Banana and Nelly and celebrated their arrival by creating special “Happy Birthday” posters just for them. 🎉

From carefully observing the hatching process to gently holding the fluffy chicks, this was a truly magical hands-on learning experience that sparked wonder, excitement, and so many smiles.

Welcome to the world, Banana and Nelly! 🐥✨

A truly special moment on our forest walk today 🐰🌿

While exploring the trails, we were lucky enough to spot a wild rabbit and her baby tucked quietly into the grass. The children were able to get close enough to observe them carefully and take in every little detail — their soft fur, twitching noses and gentle movements.

Moments like these remind us how magical nature can be and how much children learn through real-life experiences outdoors. Our daily forest walks encourage curiosity, patience, observation skills and a deep connection with the natural world around us 🍃✨

What a beautiful little discovery to end our adventure today.
