Sanctuary life means freedom for our Residents to live their best lives with each other every day of the year🥰💚
Daisy has had some difficult days with her arthritis throughout the winter but she is happy for the warmer summer weather. She is on monthly and daily medications and we are looking for more solutions from our vet as her arthritis continues to advance sadly. Let’s hope for better days for Daisy 🌼 🙏💚
If you would like to donate towards Daisy’s injections or daily care, we would love if you would etransfer or PayPal to [email protected]

It’s that time again for our specialized tilt table farrier to trim our former Amish horses who are used to being trimmed in stocks.
With over 30 years of experience, Jack uses power tools with precision. These are definitely not for everyone to use.
Dixie is very relaxed and is not sedated. Within a few skilled minutes, she is all finished. It is taking some time to correct the lack of hoof care from her previous life. We can only imagine how many miles her hooves have travelled over her lifetime pulling plows.
If you would like to donate for Dixie or Polly’s hoof care today, please etransfer or PayPal to [email protected]
Each horse today was $50 and 5 of our horses were trimmed🙏💗
Thank you🥰🙏

It’s been less than a week since Icey arrived to spend the rest of his live with us☺️
We are still in awe how the universe came together to save him. He is such an amazing boy. To watch him with his fellow Residents is like he’s lived here forever🥹
We are still fundraising for Icey’s care with special thanks to and Martha and Albert❤️
Committing to a lifetime of care is a huge responsibility and one we take very seriously. If you would like to contribute to Icey’s hay, please etransfer or PayPal to [email protected]
Every $5, $10 or $20 makes a difference🥰

Grab some Kleenex friends. If you thought Rye and Coke’s story was happy, here is another happy ending for you🙏
Some stories really touch our hearts and Icey and his young owner were one such story. He was her best friend and she loved him so much. But 4H steers don’t live forever and Icy’s time was near. She was heartbroken. There seemed to be nothing we could do to help. We were heartbroken too💔 He stayed on our mind…
But then three days after Icy was sold, we received permission from everyone involved including where Icy had been sold to, to buy Icy and bring him home🥹🙏🥰 Everyone in the agriculture community was supportive to let Icy go on to live his next chapter and we are forever grateful for that kindness.
The evening of our 35th Wedding Anniversary was spent driving four hours round trip to bring Icy home. Best Anniversary present EVER!!!!!!!
But the best was yet to come-Icy’s young owner didn’t know we had bought Icy back but her parents did and quickly brought her over. There wasn’t a dry eye in the barn. It was such a beautiful moment we will never forget. She was so happy and thankful to see her beloved boy whom she feared was gone forever. Instead, his new life is just beginning with his new family. Daisy is already mothering him, and the twins are delighted to have someone their own age!

This amazing save came about so quickly we haven’t had a chance to even fundraise. If you would like to support Icy’s new life we would be grateful by etransfer or PayPal to [email protected] with a note for Icy🥰❤️

Visitors often ask if horses sleep standing up and the answer is yes, but they also sleep lying down if completely relaxed and feeling safe. Often one horse will stand watch over the others. By sleeping standing, horses are able to quickly run from their predators in the wild.
Looks like Merlin is dreaming too🥰
