The last stop on the 20th Annual Venture to Vegreville adventure was Wanuskewin, Saskatoon, Sk. We had a lunch of bison Mac and cheese watched a performance took in the beauty and stillness of the surrounding landscape. Two busses full of very tired EUBP students, teachers and parents are on their way back to Winnipeg. We hope that the memories created in the last four days will stay with everyone for many years to come.

๐ฟ๐ Another wonderful annual Grade 4 adventure! ๐๐ฟ
Our Grade 4 students from the English-Ukrainian Bilingual Program enjoyed an unforgettable multicultural field trip to the Leaf and Leo Mol Sculpture Garden at Assiniboine Park.
As part of the Medicine Walk program, students explored the important relationship between people, plants, and the natural world. They learned about traditional plant knowledge, the cultural significance of Indigenous culture, and the importance of caring for the environment. This experience connected to our Science and Social Studies curriculum, helping students deepen their understanding of living things, communities, Indigenous perspectives, and environmental stewardship.
The Leaf provided a unique opportunity to explore plants, landscapes, and cultures from around the world, helping students appreciate the diversity of our global community. Through this multicultural learning experience, students made connections between different cultures, traditions, and ways of understanding the natural world.
Our walk through the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden combined art, history, and culture. Students visited the Taras Shevchenko Monument, creating a meaningful connection to their Ukrainian heritage while learning about the contributions of different cultural communities to Manitobaโs rich cultural landscape.
The day was filled with discovery, curiosity, laughter, and hands-on learning.
What a fantastic opportunity to celebrate multiculturalism, explore nature, strengthen cultural identity, and bring classroom learning to life! ๐๐
