We are wishing all of the fathers in our CEMA community a wonderful day! We appreciate the role you play in supporting your child’s music education… And we have so many Dads that go above and beyond and stay involved in the journey!

Here’s one last post before the summer hiatus, highlighting a few of the CEMA fathers that attended lessons, inspired their kids, and provided support and encouragement — especially when music got tough! Wishing all of the dads (past and present to our music academy) a great Father’s Day weekend!

So proud that we accomplished such a huge volunteer program for the seniors in MB!

5 years ago, we sent out the remaining YouTube and Google Drive links for June to December 2021 to the personal care homes in Manitoba! And with that, our “Sharing is Caring” program was complete!!! - - - - - When deciding to create this program, I had no idea how much work this would actually entail from start to finish, but the further I got into the program, the more I was invested and had to see it through. Countless hours were spent working with local care homes and Regional Health Authorities to get this program set up. There were so many questions, jumping through their legal hoops, figuring out exactly what they would need, and how to send the music in a manner that would be most accessible and useful for the personal care homes during a global pandemic. What started out as “I’ll just email off links to Facebook Events to some care homes”... quickly turned into “Let’s try to reach every care home in Manitoba”, with DOZENS of late-night volunteer hours, working with students and families to send me their videos, moving and titling each individual video into playlists for both YouTube and Google Drive, writing program descriptions, talking with the news and media, and answering questions from local homes. The overwhelming response I got from my students and families wanting to be a part of this program was truly heart-warming, and it gave me the motivation to expand the program to include a monthly recital for each month of 2021! - - - - - I am profoundly proud of my students and families for their efforts this year to send me recital videos from home during an immeasurably difficult pandemic year and during our online lessons. Without your kindness and compassion, this program would not have been possible! Thank you as well to Safe at Home MB Grants for offering us a grant to support the efforts put into this program and improve its quality!

We're taking a social media break, so that new/interested families are able to look over our 2025-2026 year and get a sense of our music school, how it runs through the year, etc... without scrolling past a bunch of summer content.

What a fantastic way to celebrate another incredible singing season!

Every year, our voice students come together for Teacher Gemma’s Grammy Awards Party - a special tradition that recognises all the hard work, growth, dedication and achievements of the year.

Each student receives a personalised award featuring a unique caption highlighting something they accomplished this season, decorated with pictures representing some of their favourite songs they performed.

It’s always amazing to celebrate not only musical achievements, but also the friendships, courage, perseverance and love of music that make our studio community so special.

Congratulations to all of our amazing singers - we’re so proud of everything you’ve accomplished this year! 🌟🎶❤️
