After 16 years away, La Albirroja is back at the FIFA World Cup. 🇵🇾
And the kids at our schools in Paraguay? They are ready.
These children grow up in poverty, in the same neighborhoods that produced players like Miguel AlmirĂłn -- a boy who grew up poor in AsunciĂłn, who shared a bed with his mother until he was 18, who was told he was too frail to ever make it, and who is now playing on the world's biggest stage.
When they cheer for Paraguay, they are cheering for themselves.
Follow along with us this World Cup. And if you want to be part of what gives these kids hope every single day, visit genrising.org.

Who lives?
We recently observed a simple practice at JesĂşs el Buen Pastor School in Managua, Nicaragua.
Every time students gather for a devotional or go to church, the leader asks:
“Who lives?”
And the students answer:
“Christ does!”
It’s simple. Almost childlike.
And yet it captures the entire hope of Easter.
Christ lives. And because He lives, so do we.
In a place marked by chaos, brokenness, and constant need, these students are proclaiming something deeper. They are declaring that there is hope. There is life. There is resurrection.
At our partner schools, like JesĂşs el Buen Pastor, the truth of the resurrection is not just taught. It is lived out every single day in the lives of these students.
This Easter, we are reminded that the resurrection is not just a moment in history. It is a present reality.
A reality that is being proclaimed in classrooms, in churches, and in young hearts across Nicaragua, Paraguay, and Honduras.
It’s Easter Sunday and in many churches we will sing and proclaim those famous words:
“He arose a victor from the dark domain,
And He lives forever with His saints to reign.
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah. Christ arose.”
There is hope because Christ lives. He is the victor over all darkness, and because of that, there is new life, there is light!
Who lives?
Christ does.
And to His name be the glory.
