On Tuesday June 16th, Middle School students and teachers came together to recognize both National Indigenous Peoples Day and National Indigenous History Month. The morning began with an assembly led by our Grade 6 students, where we welcomed our two guests Mr. Wesley Nelson and Mr. Cory Campbell.
Afterwards, students were put into 3 groups where they had the opportunity to participate in various learning activities. Wesley lead a session on storytelling and the art of pow wow dancing, Cory lead a session on drumming. and the grade 7 students lead a session on traditional Indigenous games.
It was a meaningful day filled with many interactive elements for both students and staff alike.

Each handprint celebrates the journey, memories, and contributions of every graduate while becoming part of a collective legacy that will inspire future generations.
The Class of 2026 has officially made their mark, and we canโt wait to see where their paths lead next.

What does it take to disrupt a 90-year-old industry? ๐ก Our Grade 9 Entrepreneurship class got a front-row seat to find out.
We were so grateful to welcome Nadia Ladak, co-founder of Marlow โ a Canadian company revolutionizing period care through organic, sustainable products โ to speak with our students this week.
Nadia brought the entrepreneurial journey to life, sharing three lessons that every young woman and aspiring founder needs to hear:
โจ Fall in love with the problem, not just the idea. Passion for what you're solving is what keeps you going when things get hard.
โจ Success is built slowly. There are no overnight stories โ only consistent effort, day after day.
โจ Everything is figure-out-able. With hard work and conviction, no challenge is too big.
To our Grade 9s: you are growing up in a world where women are building companies that matter. And one day, that woman might be you. ๐ฟ
Thank you, Nadia, for reminding our students that the entrepreneurial path is not just possible โ it's theirs to take. ๐
