The Nursery Kindergarten group enjoyed a meaningful visit to our community garden, where they took part in planting sunflower and cucumber seeds. The children carefully helped place the seeds into the soil and watered them, learning about the important steps involved in helping plants grow. This hands-on experience encouraged responsibility, teamwork, and an appreciation for nature.
While exploring the garden space, the children collected sticks and used their creativity to build a “worm city” in our digging garden. As they dug in the mud, they discovered many worms of different sizes, sparking curiosity and conversations about life beneath the soil. The children were excited to observe the worms and think about how they help the garden. This experience supported exploration, problem-solving, and early science learning as the children investigated the natural world around them. The group is looking forward to returning to the garden to plant more seeds, observe the growth of their sunflowers and cucumbers, and check on their worm city and garden friends.

On Monday, we celebrated our annual Splash Pride Parade 🏳️🌈
The day was filled with colour, smiles, music, and community spirit. Children enjoyed taking part in the parade and celebrating the values that help make our community strong: kindness, respect, and inclusion.
