🍂 Swipe 🍂 Framing from home brings a new approach to everything in my practice (that I am still working on.)

One of my new favorite things is making digital mock ups so customers can clearly see ideas inspired by the artwork with unique, one of a kind frames professionally and intentionally upcycled to matched.

I'm still working on a back log slowly but I'll be doing a little *framing sale* for smaller pieces.

👠 This trip of vintage Bizarre volumes have found their resting places nuzzled safely into place with 1/8" acid free black matting and double/triple frame accompaniment. I'm floored. I'm speechless.

The shoes asked for something that kept it a centrepiece. The gold is a powerful statement that keeps it front and centre while letting the red and black do the talking. Kind of like a body guard that lets you know "we mean business" but also "pay attention" to the star of the show as it remains encased/controlled with the black outer frame. Everything is ~in~check~. I don't normally do pin stripes with matting but it worked out perfectly with the small touch of red on each side, mirroring the stilletos.

The femme with orange hair, I played around with a few options and came to understand her gaze needed something as soft and complex. A wide silver ornate spoke to the tenderness within her eyes and the flowing of her hair. Paired with a vintage gold through line and an vintage orange stained wood so perfect I'm surprised it isn't made from the models real hair (creepy! But you know what I mean hopefully) I thought the orange would be too much, but after trimming the original frame to have half the mass it is the perfect fit in all the ways.

The blind folded femme needed something more rigid. Straight lines to help guide, make the transitions smoothe. The feeling of being blindfolded, a sense taken away, needs structure in other ways. The bold in gold cube vintage frame offers that in the ways we need and is paired with an upcycled deep red lacquer that gives a sense of mystery and intrigue.

All but the wide gold frame have been broken down and rebuilt to custom fit together.
