🌍 𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐁𝐮𝐞𝐚 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐧: 𝐀 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐈𝐁𝐄𝐒.
We were honored to welcome Professor Paul Kah, Vice President of the International Institute of Welding (IIW) and Professor at University West Sweden, for discussions aimed at strengthening international academic collaboration and exploring future opportunities for students and faculty.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on engineering education, research, innovation, professional certification, and industry engagement. Discussions also explored potential pathways through which qualified HIBES graduates may, subject to institutional admission requirements and applicable regulations, pursue further studies at international institutions such as University West.
A key highlight of the engagement was the mutual interest in developing a framework for future cooperation through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The proposed collaboration would seek to promote academic exchange, joint research activities, knowledge sharing, and professional development opportunities for both institutions.
Both parties further expressed interest in advancing welding education, training, certification, innovation, and applied research to support the development of highly skilled technical professionals capable of contributing to industrial growth and economic development.
