The Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, ACHA Eye Hospital in limbe conducted eye check-ups on the Higher Institute of Management Studies (HIMS) Buea campus last weekend provided a convenient, student-and staff-focused service aimed at early detecting and Management of vision problems.

These eye check-ups are usually organized as outreach activities, health-care session, or periodic vision screening programmes held within the campus premises to promote eye health among students, staff, and, in some cases, members of the surrounding community.

The Cultural Day celebration at HIMS Buea brought the campus to life with a joyful display of Cameroon’s diverse traditions. Students and staff came dressed in beautiful traditional outfits that reflected different ethnic backgrounds, creating a lively atmosphere filled with pride and admiration. The event was marked by energetic cultural performances, rhythmic dances, and the sharing of customs that reminded everyone of the importance of preserving heritage.

The Cultural Day celebration at the Higher Institute of Management Studies (HIMS) is marked by vibrant participation from lecturers and students, reflecting a strong sense of unity and cultural pride within the institution. Lecturers play will significant role in the success of the event, going beyond their academic responsibilities to actively engage in the festivities.

The mock examination plays a key role in assessing knowledge strength and weaknesses as it permits learners to familiarize themselves with examination format, timing and pressure to reduce anxiety while giving feedback to the administration on loop holes which should be corrected so as to increase students performance in the upcoming Higher National Diploma Examination.

Today, over two hundred and thirty second year students of HIMS-BUEA started the mock examination after four semesters of studying, doing practicals and revision from both lecturers and industry professionals.

OLD SCHOOL DAY AT HIMS-BUEA

How would you feel if you see your son or daughter leave the house dressed like you when you were younger? Welcome to the 2026 edition of the HIMS-BUEA “OLD SCHOOL” (Retro Day) where staff and students put on outfits depicting the 80’s, 70’s, 60’s down to the 20’s. The event was an opportunity to showcase long lost fashion and cause nostalgia for the institution’s community at large. It also showed creativity as participants blended old fashion across decades. It was real fun. to know each other well in an atmosphere full of music and joy.
