Bridging Borders at Tongji!🇨🇳🇰🇭
On June 2, we proudly welcomed a delegation from Cambodia's A.M.T. Scholarship Association to Tongji University.
🏫We were deeply honored to receive a letter from H.E. PICH Chanmony, First Lady of Cambodia, praising our shared efforts to strengthen people-to-people ties and support the Cambodia–China tech corridor.

🇹🇲 Jennet from Turkmenistan completed the Pre-University Program at Tongji University, scored HSK 5 with 213 points in just 8 months, and is now a second-year undergraduate student and a proud member of Tongji's dragon boat team, contributing to the institution's honor.

🌊Her first dive in a manned submersible transformed the East China Sea into a classroom.
Xu Jingtong, the ocean sciences undergraduate from Tongji University, spent two weeks aboard a research vessel alongside 19 other US and Chinese students, sailing from Hong Kong to Shanghai. 🇨🇳🇺🇸
Guided by instructors, Xu operated a robotic arm to collect water samples and studied plankton under a microscope. Beyond marine science, the group bonded over calligraphy, folk dancing, and a Model UN dialogue on mercury pollution. This journey highlights Tongji’s approach to blending hands-on scientific exploration with international youth collaboration. 🔬⚙️

What can one Chinese character tell you?🤔
On 29 May, international students and teachers from Tongji University and Sanming University came together for a Chinese Language Corner event called "Shared Future, Shared Fortune" — built around the character 福 (Fú)🧧, meaning happiness and good fortune.
Students from over 20 countries tried traditional lacquer fan painting and gourd decorating, with students from Sanming University's School of Art and Design guiding them along the way.👏 One Italian student said painting her own fan made her appreciate Chinese traditions more, and she plans to keep it as a keepsake.
