WorldSkills Kyrgyzstan has selected three Competitors to represent the country at WorldSkills Shanghai 2026.

Three National Champions in Cooking, Fashion Technology and Welding will train to compete at the 48th Competition.

The National Championship was a clear demonstration of how WorldSkills Kyrgyzstan has embedded WorldSkills Occupational Standards into its national Technical, Vocational Education and Training programmes, and acted as a platform for knowledge exchange.

Anticipation is building for the 48th Competition in Shanghai, China ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ this September!

In just four months, visitors from across the globe will arrive in Shanghai to watch the very best young people step onto the .

Two exceptional venues will host WorldSkills Shanghai 2026: Skills competitions will take place at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC) Shanghai and the Opening and Closing Ceremony will be held at Shanghai World Expo Cultural Center.

More than 130 projects were submitted from organizations around the world to take part in the first Skills CoLab, a new initiative showcasing innovative Technical, Vocational Education and Training projects at Conference 2026 this September.

Now, a dedicated panel of jurors has selected the final projects that will be showcased in Shanghai, China ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ, based on their creativity, relevance, and adaptability.

Skills Finland invites all Member countries and regions to join them in Helsinki ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ฎ for the 11th International Abilympics taking place 10 to 13 May 2027!

This competition features 43 skills and recognizes the importance of diversity and inclusion in the labour market and is open to anyone aged 15 years or over with special needs or disabilities.

The perspective of Champions were heard at the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum, the UN's premier platform for young people to engage in discussions that help advance the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals.

Shweta Ratanpura, a WorldSkills Champions Trust representative for Asia, was the first youth ambassador to represent WorldSkills at this conference.

"Universities and training institutions cannot prepare young people for the future in isolation. The pace of technological and social change requires much deeper collaboration between education, industry, and policymakers. Young people must not only be included in these conversations but trusted as contributors to shaping what future-ready education should look like," Shweta said.

MEDIA REGISTRATION NOW OPEN for WorldSkills Shanghai 2026! ๐ŸŽค๐ŸŽฅโœ๐Ÿป Media organizations from around the world are invited to apply for accreditation to cover the world's biggest skills competition, WorldSkills Shanghai 2026, this September.

An estimated 1,400 Competitors from 73 countries and regions will compete in 64 skills on the , including seven new emerging occupations.

Accredited media will have the opportunity to cover the competitions and international Competitors, and will be invited to apply for access to key events including the Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
